I am the Dark Knight and I have made my costume from 85% scratch materials. I have used primarily sewing and hot glue in addition to various thicknesses of craft and EVA foam. Store bought mask has been integrated with a hard shell too give kids the ability to knock on it. This costume utilizes about 10 yards of various thicknesses of webbing are linked to approximately 200 hand cut pieces into a web like harness that makes up the armor. This harness makes it wearable by various sizes. Boots are from the local prop shop and are called Gotham 100s. Everything is covered with several coats of Plasti-dip spray to uniform the overall look.
