Tribal Warrior Costume

This costume is an original that we spent many many hours putting together getting ideas from all different websites. All materials were materials we had in our home with exception of the mask. The mask was a simple Halloween decoration for your yard. Purchased at Home Depot. It was a simple cattle skull that latex flat on the lawn and lit up. We gutted it, painted it, added the top and side leaf decor, along with the design painted on it. Holes were carefully drilled in it so it could be worn as a mask. The bones hanging from costume were made from bones from our dinner plate! Pork bones. Made with string and beaded as we saw fit. The apron was made from an old curtain with a skull fave glued on with feathers from a family pet. This costume was matching to the voodoo princess that was also submitted for this contest. Enjoyed the making, reaction and playing the part of this costume. This costume along with the voodoo princess won us a night stay at a hotel in the champagne room. Won best couple costume.
