This homemade costume for pets entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from April, the 'Grape Jelly' costume creator:
Our 2 year old Alaskan Malamute just loves to dress up and make people smile. His name is Amook's Fluffer Nutter and Jelly, aka Jelly. We wanted to make a cute costume for him but we wanted it to be not only cute, but funny as well. We came up with the idea of a bunch of grapes and we could call him...Grape Jelly! ;)
A friend sewed the costume for us. She used light material and made something similar to a horse blanket with Velcro around the neck and two underbelly straps to hold the costume in place. She then cut circles and sewed them together and stuffed them with fiber fill. She then attached them to the base. One of the grapes even has a built in pocket for treats and poop bags, ha ha.
