Neo-Queen Serenity Costume

My favorite thing to do is make costumes for my cats. I started making them about a year and a half ago because I was tired of the complete lack of cute clothes and costumes for cats at pet stores. I've always loved cats and crafting, so this is the perfect outlet for my creativity.
I made this costume for Khaleesi out of mostly stuff that I had lying around. I frequently use repurposed and recycled materials in the cat costumes I make. The dress is an old t-shirt that I cut the sleeves off, sewed up the sides of, added the gold embellishments to (they're painted gold felt and paper fasteners), and finished with a layer of sheer white fabric across the waist. The wig is made from trimmings from a full size white wig that belongs to me. The tiara is plastic from an empty box of q-tips and some beads, painted with silver nail polish, plus a rhinestone in the center. The moon on her forehead is also made from the plastic from a q-tips box, painted gold, then attached to a black pipe cleaner to fit around her head. Finally, the wings are made from a deconstructed wire coat hanger as the base, with more of the sheer white fabric covering it.
