Poodle-Matian Costume

I thought of the idea several years back & have been looking at ideas. Moka, my Dalmatian, is very tolerant of costumes, so when I saw the poodle-like material, I knew she would be a poodle. The faux fur was very thin & she's like crazy, so I used a plain black material with a little give to line the costume. I made each leg, the tail, the body, and the head/neck pieces separately. I then attached the legs and tail to the body. The head/neck piece stays separate. My advice-make sure it fits without impeding movement or being constricting, and try on at each step to assure correct placement of all the parts. I bought the ribbon & made the bows & sewed them in place. The "fur" was easily clipped in the poodle cut. I saved the leftover fur & glued it on the head & ears.
