This homemade costume for pets entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Tanya, the 'Witch's Bat' costume creator:
Bandit is a 7 yr old umbrella cockatoo who was abandoned at a pet store. Many experts suggested I put him down or surrender him to a sanctuary. But I refused to take that advice. After 2 years of determination... I never gave up on him.
This special rescue likes to dress up to entertain children at charity events... such as Halloween Bazaars and the Sunrise Children's Cancer Center Christmas Toys for Tots. With his perfect comedic timing, funny dances, and large vocabulary.
He proves that every living thing deserves a second chance, and that not all rescues are furry ;-)
