A word from Tammy, the 'A Change of Face' costume creator:
I am wearing the costume. I bought the mask in my hand at a local halloween shop, I didn't have time or money for anything elaborate. I saw the lines on the mask that looked like plastic surgery drawings and went with it. I first realized that I needed to be lipless, So I created a lip spreader with rubberbands and paper clips in each end for uppwe and lower sides of my mouth. Then I went over the my face with latex mixed with red paint, added some tissue and some pieces of rubber bands for tendons, chunks and bone. then, I also went around the border of my face with tissue dipped in latex and flesh colored paint that looked like skin edges. It was cheap and easy and effective. People loved it so far. The paper clips can hurt and leave prints after a while so if you do this try and pad them with some foam or sponge on the inside.
