This homemade costume for women entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Elyse, the 'Daenerys Targaryen - Khaleesi' costume creator:
I'm wearing a costume I made myself. I'm a rather big GOT fan and khaleesi is and has been my favourite character. I bought the dragon from the dollar store and grabbed some material from my school and sewed together her dessert outfit. I drafted a triangle pattern for the top (similar to a handkerchief) and drafter the dress to my specific measurements. I braided some brown material and attached that to the edges. The dragon I bought from the dollarstore and painted him black. She's my fantasy hero - so I had to be her.
