Family Tree Costume

I was trying to come up with something unique when I saw a pic of a tree. I thought it would be cool if I did a tree costume, but make it different by turning it into a "family" tree. I hit the thrift store and found a pair of brown pants and a long-sleeve green t-shirt. I used a black sharpie to draw on the pants so they would look like tree bark. I hot glued leaves all over the shirt in random directions. I glued moss onto some shoes at the base of the tree. I printed out a frame pattern on gold card stock, cut them out (which was very tedious) and then added pics of all my family. I did myself, my husband, our parents and our two boys on the front and all 8 of my siblings down one arm and my husband's five siblings down the other arm. I used Velcro to attach them all. I made a necklace that said "our family tree" to finish off the costume. Everyone loved it and especially a the little details. Total cost was about $20
