Johnny Depp Mad Hatter Costume

I decided I wanted to be the newest version of the Mad Hattter. The only way to do it is to go all out. I started with making my hat. Starting with the base of a Lincoln hat and making it a different shape with cardboard and fabric. I made my own hair pins for the hat as well as the burnt price tag. The jacket was one I had in closet. I embellished it with lace on selves and ribbon and scrap fabric coming out of the pockets. I glued embroidery floss to wooden spools and hooked them on a bag I had to wear across my chest! Pin stripped pants, green vest, unmatched socks and low cut boots I owned as well. The makeup was the hardest. I did it all myself and used no airbrush for any of it. The hair is my real hair that I teased and sprayed with orange and red hair spray! Eyebrows are Santa Claus brows I got and sprayed with same color for hair. The bow tie was fabric I found that was closest to what Johnny Depp's looked like. I also carried a tea pot that I made saying drink me! It was a fun costume to put together. Long time friends of mine didn't recognize me. I love that! Happy Halloween!!!!
