This homemade costume for women entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Melissa, the 'Maleficent' costume creator:
I made my costume all by hand. I bought my fabric from Joanne's in rolled yards and the dress I hand sewed. The collar and the head piece was constructed by thick craft foam sheets with wire sandwiched in between to make them mobile. Both the collar, headpiece, horns and staff were covered in strips of electrical tape. I love EVERYTHING Disney. Especially the beautiful villains. So that was the inspiration. I love wearing the costume as much as I loved making it.
