Can you tell me how you attached the straps to the costume?

#3 comment by Ciara September 28, 2017

Hi Teresa,
I measured the straps to fit snug around each arm so they would fall off my shoulders but allowing room for movement. I then looped the straps between the pvc pipe & board. I had someone hold the board while I clasped the straps around my arms.

Another option: I used 2 foam boards and glued them together to hide the screws/nuts holding the pvc pipe to the board since i wanted the pvc to move/provide additional effects. If you do something similar you could cut slits in the board (will be hidden behind your back) and put the straps through there. This way once you glue the second board to the back you won't see it.

Let me know if you have any other questions and i will be more than happy to answer them.

What is the measurements of pvc pipe

#5 comment by Ciara October 10, 2017

Hi Courtney,
I bought them premeasured (1/2" thick and 2 ft. long) at Home Depot or Lowe's. Typically they're in a stand/bin in the pvc pipe aisle.

hello:)
how exactly does the construction hold? Do you have a more detailed description?
Thank you

Hi Marie,
I used heavy duty adhesive spray between the two foam boards that held everything together.

Hello, can you explain more on how you put the pipes onto the board with the screws clasp etc..

Hi Maribel,

I screwed in the clasps to the foam board. Because i didn't want it to show on the back I added an additional foam board to the back with adhesive spray.
