Pretty Peacock Costume

I made this costume with mesh from a craft store to make the flouncy skirt , I gathered the layers together with pipe cleaners & mounted them to a petticoat waistband to make the skirt. I needed a "belt" to hold it all together, so that was what I used. then I lined the skirt with aqua liquid sequin fabric. I made my wings out of foam core that I shaped into the spread of a peacock & covered each side in 1 yd of liquid sequin fabric that I hot glued to the board & then I cut out various shapes of feathers and hot glued them to the board, I poked holes in the back board & threaded elastic straps to it...I wore tank tops & a necklace that I owned & black pants...the face mask was make out of satin & feathers glued to it & the wig was store bought! All in all, I spent about $70!! enjoy!!
