A word from Nicola, the 'Sweet Thang' costume creator:
I'm wearing the costume:). I don't know where the idea came from it just came to me in a momemnt of inspiration haha. I made it all myself. I used superglue to stick on each skittle individually. It took AGES! I felt like I was working in a sweatshop haha. I used superglue to glue on the marshmallows and liquirish too. I traced the sections i wanted to cover in wrappers onto paper and cut out the correct shapes. Then I stapled the wrappers on and stapled the cut-outs to my costume. I sewed the lollys to the skirt and made the jewellry with string and sweets with holes in them. I made a tuille skirt out of netting and elastic to put under my skirt to make it puff out. I also bought a giant lollypo.:)The colour scheme i chose was rainbow and i tried to mimic this in my makeup (colourful eyeshadow). It took about 10 hours in total to make it and about 60 euro but was totally worth it!
