This homemade costume for women entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Rebecca, the 'Winifred Sanderson' costume creator:
My name is Becky Rivera. This is my first sewing project. I chose the character Winifred Sanderson as I have always loved the movie Hocus Pocus and watch it every year. It took three months to complete this look. I started with a Medieval dress pattern, 8 yds of green velvet, 4 yds cotton, 2 yds chiffon, paint, crystals and accents. Estimated cost of entire project with all accessories including wig, shoes, tights, gloves, teeth and making of spell book $500.
I have taken photos to document the entire process since it was my first project. I have more photos of the project if needed. Including step by step of the making of Winifred's spell book.
