Disco Zebra Costume

I thought of the costume after seeing the opening ceremonies of the 2002 WInter Olympics in Salt Lake City. They had huge horses made out of flowing material that they were waving as the persession began. It took me a while but I did make it.

I got some zebra material and made a jump suit. I had to line up the stripes in the front and down each leg as well as the back of each leg. I shaped the head out of wire, taped and glued it together then covered it with the same material. I added eyes a and big fake lashes. I made the mane and tail out of hair like yarn. Finished it off with a tutu made of net and pink tafata. Got my old leather zebra jacket out, it matched perfect and finished her off nicely.

Then at the last minute I noticed some platform shoes in my closet I had saved.....and thought hummm Disco zebra... So I replaced the leather zebra jacket with a purple pleather jacket, put on the shoes, and stuck a pink wig on the zebra head. looked better!!!!
