COVID Killed Our Wedding Costume

After being together 16 years, my fiancé and I were finally planning on tying the knot! But 2020 had other plans.......We were going to get married at a Halloween festival but we have postponed it until next year. I felt like I still should be wearing white on our “wedding day” so I came up with the idea - COVID Killed Our Wedding. I found the vintage wedding dress at a garage sale for $1.00! My fiancé’s clothes were existing items we had in our closet. We splattered them with blood (neon pink tempera paint.) Our broken hearts were made with paper mache. My coronavirus headpiece was a styrofoam ball with golf tees. The pop art bouquet was 3 giant lily pad seed pods that I painted bright colors. Our body painting artist friend painted us as Pop Art Zombies, you know because it’s a wedding, you gotta be classier than just regular zombies! We are huge Halloween fans so I guess it was appropriate that we’ve had a costumed “wedding” and will get to do a real one too!
