Dark Archangel Costume

I made a set of black wings that closed had a wingspan of 8 ft, and open had approximately 17ft wingspan. I had seen a diy tutorial that involved a cosplay artist named Axceleration artists, complete with PVC pipes, linear actuators, black fabric fake feathers with galvanized wire in the middle, wiring/relay system with a switch, hinges, a back plate made out of sintra board, meat by-product black goose feathers, fabric covering the frames, zipties, a compression vest, nylon straps makeshift harness, black boots, black lipstick makeup, black eyeshadow, police black hat, black gloves, black jeans, and lots of hours of trials and errors during the process. All of the materials together were about $500 and took 3-4 weeks to make, working on them after busy full time work weeks. I marched in the NYC village Halloween parade, which was a bit difficult as the wings were about 30 lbs and when the wind or a person touched a part of it I didn’t have the best balance. I also wore them to a couple of house parties which meant that logistics getting through NYC apartment doorways was an issue, forget about opening them indoors.
