Davy Jones Dead Man Chest Costume

I created this full costume, and wearing it in my photo. My inspiration was the movie Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest. Davey Jones is my favorite character, and by far the most complex mask I have made to date. I sculpt the face from clay and then covered it in plaster to make a reverse slush mold. Once the mold is dry you crack it apart, clean it and put it back together. Once ready you pour liquid latex inside to create the mask. All the tentacles were created and added after mask was poured.
