Deadmau5 DJ Costume

Deadmou5 is an electric dance music artist, DJ if you will, whose real name is Joel Zimmerman. He wears an electronic mouse head whose eyes and mouth move with the music.
I made the mou5 head using a 14" chinchilla ball, which was the most expensive part at $35. I cut out the eyes and the mouth, and secured a hard hat to the top inside of the ball so it would stay on my head. Note, you also have to take the ball apart, and cut a bigger opening at the bottom to fit your head. The eyes were ordered off Amazon $10 with tax, shipping and handling) and changed color. The mouth was netting, the ears were foam, and it was wrapped in red felt. My suit came from goodwill and cost me $9. Definitely a crowd stopper!
