Despicable Me 2 Family Costume

I, Cynthia, am wearing the Lucy costume. I bought a turquoise trench coat, got a 1/4yd of white with pink polka dot fabric for the neck scarf, a red wig (I tried to find an orange one) and a pair of big sunglasses I meant to pop the lens out and paint teal but I lost track of time.

My husband, James, went as Gru. He brought a pair of women's skinny jeans that had a leather front, a pair of dress shoes with pointy toes and a bald cap that we decided looked better pulled over his ears otherwise his hair stuck out of it. He used his own coat and scarf.

Our daughter, Kimbrielle "Kimber", was an evil minion. She is 12 weeks old but was 5 weeks premature and spent 6 weeks in the NICU. During that time is when I figured out our costume theme of Despicable Me 2. Since she was yet to fit into newborn clothes I had to alter a 0-3m pair of black overalls. I bought black, two shades of purple and white felt. For the hat I made it using purple fleece, for the eyes I was originally going to use mason jar rings but her head was too small so I went with baby food jar lids. For the hair I got fluffy yarn and brushed it out.
