Dante Costume

My 10 year old son wanted to be Dante (Devil May Cry -a video game character). Purchasing the costume and accessories online would have been expensive so I made it. I purchased a black trench coat at a discount store ($13) and red fabric from Wal-Mart ($6) and used hot glue to "sew" it together. I used some old black fabric and silver craft paint I already had for the arm patch. I spray painted a pair of his brown boots black and used a pair of black pants and a black tank from a previous years costume -no cost there. The gloves were my old weight lifting gloves painted black and the necklace was a rock painted red and one of my old earrings to hold it. I used a piece of wire to attach it to an old necklace. I purchased the guns at Dollar General for a total of $10 (spray painted these as well). His hair I sculpted with gel and hand painted with Crayola finger paint ($0.63). His personality as he posed for people and shook a hands with little kids-PRICELESS!
