Dorothy - Wizard of Oz Costume

This year my daughter loved the Wizard of Oz, so I built her a float that incorporated a few elements from the movie. The float is actually two scenes coming together on a 4x6 sheet of plywood. In the back we have Kansas with a spinning tornado lifting the house up. In the front we have Dorothy’s house beaten and ragged from the twister, landing in Munchkin land. The witch’s feet moved in and out from under the house as well as the tornado spun. Obviously we had to have the yellow brick road with Dorothy and Toto, and plenty of flowers to finish the scene along with the movie soundtrack playing.
I used mostly scraps laying around the garage and some $1 store items.
My 3 year old loved it!
