Dragonzilla Costume

Well this was definitely hard than I thought. I’ve always been fascinated with costumes. Now that the kids are grown it was my turn to give it a try. And like they say “if at first you don’t succeed, try try try try again!” And believe me, i tried. Unfortunately my photographers that I enlisted for duty didn’t take the best photos.
I started off by making wooden platform shoes or stilts. I thought I would be fun to be giant size. Then trying to come up with giant size idea. So sitting in the corner was a basketball return hoop. So I grabbed it and put it over my head. It rested nicely on my shoulders and had a curve to it. Dragon came to mind so I started the paper mache process. I thought it came out dragon like. My kids said Godzilla. So with stilts for feet and head made started sewing body. Semi pleased with final result. When I walked around the neighborhood everyone lived it. Was even able to scare a few kids.
