This homemade costume for boys entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Heather, the 'Edward Scissorhands' costume creator:
I asked my 7 year old son who he would like to be for Halloween and he shockingly said, "Edward. I want to look like the scissorhands guy." So, off to the fabric store I went. Three yards of pleather, a day of thrift store shopping for belts, and a day of sewing, our creation came true. He was a hit in the neighborhood; everyone was stopping him and some people took pictures.
It took a lot of time and effort, but any crafty mom with a sewing machine could pull it off; your child just needs an old soul.
