Edward Scissorhands Costume

My 3 year old son recently got into Edward Scissorhands and wanted to be him for Halloween. This is a homemade costume, we got a pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt that we sewed pleather onto. We also got a bunch of plain black belts that we put the studs into ourselves. To make his hands we got a pair of plain black gloves, silver (plastic) butter knives, and electric tape. We filed down the knives so they were smooth, we then put a small bolt through 2 of the knives and added a drop of hot glue to the back of the bolt to give them the “scissor” effect. Which we then used the black electric tape to tape the scissors to his fingers.
