Eggs from the Boxtrolls Costume

When my son Brandon saw the Boxtrolls he ran out of the theater determined to be Eggs , the young boy from the movie, for Halloween. We set out to find items for the costume. A trip to a local navy surplus store (for the hat and goggles), a trip to the hardware store (for the flashlights and wire), and an office supply store (for the box) and we were set. Brandon is most proud of the night vision helmet we made together because it looks just like the one Eggs wears in the movie. He was also pretty thrilled that it lit up, which was useful for trick-or-treating.

All together the costume didn't cost over $40-- and Brandon is so proud of it.
