This homemade costume for boys entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.

The idea to make this costume is very simple. As i was growing up there was a very popular show called "El Chavo del 8". The shiw is very well kniwn and even now its being shown animated. My son loves the show and its very helpful with speaking spañish. He always chooses to be something out of the ordinary and to my surprise he came up with the idea to be el Chapulin. We started by buying a red body suit. cut out the face and sowed it on the top. I took some branches from my fake ants and balls to make the antenas. I later sowed the yellow heart onto the chest and fiund some old yellow shorts at a store. Its nit perfect but everyone was taking pictures of him asking where he got the costume. He was photograph more then 50 times by different people who loved the costume and the show. "El Chapulin Colorado" No contaban con mi astucia
