This homemade costume for women entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Tracy, the 'Elf on a Shelf' costume creator:
My family loves Elf on a Shelf. As a third grade teacher, I thought it would make a great costume for our school parade. I made the shelf out of sheets of foam board from Home Depot. I covered them with contact paper that looked like wood. I added two felt legs and a skirt. I decorated the shelf with a few Knick knacks and then used a belt to secure it to my waist. Add a red shirt, Santa Hat, and an elf collar. The students loved it!
