Ellen Ripley and her P-5000 Power Loader Costume

The original Alien film from 1979 has become an iconic movie over the years. And I I have been wanting to make my own power loader for several years. It has been a labor of love and my father-in-law was a big help in giving me a hand with everything. It is built from scratch and I am the one wearing it. We had an absolute blast working on building it. It's made out of insulation foam board and thin plywood. Mix in nuts and bolts, spray adhesive, PVC pipe, paint, electronics, etc. and I ended up with my own amazing power loader! I am addicted to making my own costumes and love seeing the end results.
