Elven Archer & Wood Mage Costume

This is me and my daughter McKenzie. We usually start brainstorming for next year the second Halloween wraps up so it's tough to pinpoint when this idea fully fleshed out and beat out the other 3 or 4 we were kicking around. Most of the materials for our costumes come from thrift shops and clearance bins. Her skirt and cloak started as a pair of curtains. Her vest, belt, quiver and sheath all came from a yard of vinyl "leather" fabric. The couple of accessories like skulls were heavily modified with paint and moss from their stock look. Everything was aged with watered down acrylics and spray paint. Overall about 3 months of weekends went into our costumes this year.
