A word from Martine, the 'Elvis Presley' costume creator:

The costume is Elvis Presley and I made the costume for my 10-month-old son, who has a lot of hair and blue eyes just like Elvis. My family and I are big Elvis fans, and the customer took about a month to create. The costume is made from a plain white sweat suit that I bought from Walmart. I went to JoAnn, a craft store in New York and bought All the fabrics and trims attached to the costume, along with some of the gemstones, and I also went to M & J trimming in New York City and bought the Crystal eagle decal found on the back of the hoodie along with the iron on star patches found on the back of the collar and bell bottoms and glue back Swarovski crystals that were found all over the costume. I removed the hood and attached a collar, I lined the inside of the collar with the red silk material, and I cut each side of the outer leg panel and added red silk material to make it a Bellbottom. On the bottom of the sweatshirt I attached gold material to resemble A belt. Additionally on the hoodie I trim conference with red and gold fringe trimming use to line towels or curtains. I lined the whole costume with a gold trim, and used a thin gold trim to create the curvy designs on the front of the pants as well as on the hoodie. I attached over 500 Swarovski crystals not including the eagle crystal appliqué which consisted of another 250 crystals. The costume has close to 800 crystals. The crystals have a glue on the back and are attached with a tool which heats up to attach each and every Crystal to the garment. I also lined the arms of the hoodie with pewter studs and attached a few on the pants. I used the leftover red silk fabric to create a scarf, which Elvis used at his shows to throw into the crowd. The scarf was made from leftover red silk fabric to create a scarf, which Elvis used at his shows to throw into the crowd. Altogether the costume cost $210 dollars.
