A word from Holly, the 'Father Time' costume creator:
My 8 year old son Alex Rozic is wearing this costume. He got the idea from looking at different costumes online and putting different ideas together. To make this costume I bought a thin sheet of foam that is used for a mattress. I cut the foam or into different size panels to the measurements of my son. I cut the face of the clock out and replaced it with black screen that is used for a outside door so he was able to see. I also cut the center of the lower half of the costume out and then painted it black and replaced it back in position. The foam clock was wrapped in ticky tac that is used to put inside cupboards and drawers. On the face of the clock I used felt for the numbers and on the lower half of the clock I used cardboard and a chain from the dollar store and rolls from a used box for foil that were cut smaller. the trim around the top of the clock was made and cut out of cardboard and has Ticky Tac placed over top of it. I also had to buy black and gold paint for the trimmings of the costume. the costume cost approximately 65 to 70 dollars.
