This homemade costume for women entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Grace, the 'Medusa the Gorgon' costume creator:

I made this one of a kind costume for my 21 yr. old daughter Ariel. I dressed up a latex headpiece that was plain and added jeweled eyes and glitter to glam it up. I made the costume with green spandex and gold vinyl material. At the base, I stuffed dryer ducting using 2 different sizes (for the tiered coils) and made a leather rattler by stuffing 6 lil glitter bottles filled with lentil beans and hot glued and stitched it all together. :) I worked around a body suit so she could easily slip in and out of it. She seems to glide/float in her costume as she walks. I was happy to make it for her. :)

Hi Melinda,
Of course you can make it! I went to JoAnn's and bought the materials and used a full piece bathing suit and actually hot glued the material to it(top edges of the suit). and added the front gold pieces and I got a hoop skirt to attach the dryer hose vent for the coils. It was easy just a bit hot to work with a large hot glue gun...lol
