Rainbow Unicorn Costume

My nearly 4-year-old daughter wanted to be a "rainbow unicorn" for Halloween. She specifically wanted a rainbow body and a rainbow horn.

We already owned the rainbow fleece top, and found the rainbow leggings at a thrift store. The mane and tail come from a Rapunzel wig we owned. I trimmed the bottom and hot glued them onto felt for the mane. I used hair bands at the top of the wig to make it look more tail-like.

I made the horn from craft foam that I hot-glued into the shape and painted. I glued the horn onto the mane felt and duct taped the whole thing to fleece hood, along with ears. The tail was tied onto the back of her shirt. Felt hooves completed the outfit.

We had TONS of complements and she was beaming the whole time she wore it. Because I used duct tape, we didn't even ruin the original clothing to make the outfit.
