A word from Anecia, the 'She-Werewolf' costume creator:
Creating my Homemade costumes all started 2 years ago in eighth grade when i decided i wanted to do something everyone would recognize and the main theme of the year. This year i was thinking about it, then suddenly it hit me nothings bigger then werewolfs this year! i know about six TV shows that either have werewolfs in them or the main theme of the show is werewolfs! And there in so many movies this year. All the materials i used are as listed. 3 yards of faux fur, hot glue and gun, shoes, lots and lots of foam, contacts, gloves, modeling clay, latex, and 50 inches of crepe hair. A brief summary of how i made the costume; i stared with a wetsuit then cut out foam muscle patterns. Glued them to the suit, covered the suit in fur then glued it. did the same thing for feet and hands only i added claws to them. I Purchased the mask online then painted it and adhered crepe hair to it. I cut out old ears from a mask, painted them then adhered lots of crepe hair to it Then attached them to a hair band. Lastly i bought a pair of yellow contacts to wear. Some tips i have to share is the try the costume and hands on every so often so they do not shrink and you can not get them on. Also cut out bold shapes of foam muscles if you have little experience. It works just as well. Make sure all your fur is in the same direction and cut in the non fur side of the fabric. Also when cutting out the fur cut them an extra few inches because you must realize you need room to move. The total cost was about $250. The outcome of my costume was great, people were astonished by the fact i actually made the whole things from scratch! Hope you like it:)
