Fire Truck Costume

My daughter, Penny, is 3 years old, loves the color red and loves transportation vehicles. My husband, Ben, created her costume of a fire truck out of a red wagon, cardboard boxes, a real hose, paint, duct tape, and working lights. It also has a ladder made out of wrapping paper tubes and a bell. He probably spent 10+ hours on it cutting everything out, shopping, painting, gluing, etc. We could then pull her in the wagon while she wore her fire hat, jacket, and boots. She happily rang the bell while we walked the half mile to her daycare Halloween party. He created "fire" for himself and me to wear to go along with her costume. She had a blast and we gave other kids at the daycare rides in the fire truck!
