A word from Wendy, the 'Flesh Masquerade' costume creator:
I am wearing the costume and found this idea from the Internet! I made the mask from scratch using a plastic silver mask covering with these layers: band aids, gauze, toilet paper... Then used liquid latex. This created my surface! Then I applied home made flesh paste made from Vaseline and flour and my colour of liquid foundation! Then I covered it with liquid latex and used makeup to decorate it giving the soft skin look! I attached staples... Which proved to be very difficult because of the layers underneath the flesh layer! My dress was made from an old prom dress that I butchered and added dollar store table runners, scarves and cheese cloth to create a gothic feel! I sewed in fabric panels to make the dress bigger and longer in the mid section! I bunched each sheer fabric layer and sewed it in place! Sooooo much fun! Makeup was simple using liquid latex, blood and toilet paper! Cheers!
