Fred Flinstone Costume

I have been obsessed with Fred Flintstone since I was 4 years old when I began drawing him. In 7th grade I made my mom take me to the store where I bought some cheep orange material and had the foresight to make it big so I could wear it over and over again. And wear it I did almost every year for literally 25 years. I finally had to retire the old duds as it had faded and ripped beyond usage. This current rendition took me 3 years to complete. I am all about authenticity and finding orange shag material was a challenge that took 2 years of going to every materials and fabric store in oregon before I finally found it. Add the fleece tie and black faux fur spots and The result is probably the most faithful Flintstone costume I have ever seen, and trust me, I have pictures of just about every costume ever made from Department store mass marketed versions to amusement park walk around character iterations.
