Bony Joanie Costume

My 9 month old daughter, Alice, is dressed as Bony Joanie from the Garbage Pail Kids. The idea for the costume came from the Cabbage Patch Kid wigs/hats that I saw on Etsy. I quickly found many stroller costumes of traditional Cabbage Patch Kids. Being Halloween, I wanted to create something more in keeping with the holiday, and what better way than making a Garbage Pail Kids costume! I already had a skeleton sleeper that I had purchased from Old Navy. To complete the costume, I constructed a Garbage Pail Kids card out of white foam core. I glued colored construction paper to the foam core and printed out the Garbage Pail Kids logo and name and glued them onto the card. To give the card a more authentic look, I used a layer of clear contact paper. I used an exacto knife to cut out an opening. To attach the card to the stroller, I hot glued a couple pieces of yarn to the back of the foam core. With the card tied to the stroller, Alice wore her skeleton sleeper and wig. In keeping with her costume, I wore a Bony Joanie shirt that showcased the original Bony Joanie Garbage Pail Kids card.
