A word from Harmony, the 'Georgie' costume creator:
This is my dog Gizmo and he is dressed as Georgie from Stephen King's movie It. I got the idea from the movie, basically so many people are afraid of clowns and being that my dog is special needs he needed something he could ride on. Almost everything is made from recycled materials that I found around the house minus a few things needed to put it all together. I first used a piece of wood to create the base of the float on top of a flat dolly where I used to box to make the curb and painted everything to try and make it look as close as possible to concrete and pavement. I stuffed the mask and use mittens for the hands and the balloon was made from a dog toy made for bigger dogs. I used velcro to attach the curb that for easy transportation. Once I had it all put together it was time to add the Final Touch, Gizmo. I put a cute little raincoat on him as well as a wig that I made from doll hair and he sat perfectly on his own little float proudly displaying what took us almost a month to create. With the help of my nephew I've been created a scene to take a few photos to relay the whole effect of the costume and what we were trying to go for to make it look like a scene out of the movie.
