Goku & Majin Buu Costume

These costumes were inspired by the anime show, Dragon Ball Z. My boyfriend and I just finished re-watching the entire series so we decided to pay homage to our favorite characters. He is in the orange, standing in a typical Goku pose. Goku is a martial artist from a different planet who protects Earth. We made his costume by cutting a pre-made shirt to resemble the cut of the outfit and he used a scarf to act as a sash. I am the pink-colored one, Majin Buu, who is both a good and evil villain who basically acts as a big baby that just wants to eat candy. I thought that was fitting for Halloween. I used fabric to make the cape, top, and belt. I cut and sew each piece. The belt "M" insignia was made using sticky foam that I cut and adhered to the belt. Even though this is not my most intricate costume, I liked it a lot since I really enjoy the show and he's my favorite character plus you don't always see people dressed as him. My eyes are "closed" in the picture because he is a really chubby character that smiles so big you can't see his eyes.
