This homemade costume for men entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Walter, the 'Gray Knight Space Marine' costume creator:
My inspiration for my costume this year was the Gray Knight Space Marine from the video and board game War Hammer 40K. I spent the last year building this costume everything on this costume was made by hand and no power tools were used to make any of the pieces. The only store bought items were the L.E.D. lights that are in the sword, shield and Jet pack and the metal hardware (i.e. screws and bolts)the foam it self and plastic and wood. The costume took over 335 day to complete. I stand approximately 7'8" tall and I am approximately 4'5" Wide. There are L.E.D lights in my shield, sword jet pack and under my eyes so I can light up at night. My stilts are made from cardboard pillar tubes and plywood. I attached hinges and springs in the feet so they would lift as I walked to make the movement more realistic. I am the one wearing the costume:)
