This homemade costume for adults entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Amanda, the 'Groot' costume creator:
I was wearing the costume. I loved the Movie Guardians of the Galaxy and love Groot. It took me 2 months to make. I used pipe insulation tubes, tissue paper and glue for the bark and LOTS of Hot Glue. The chest pieces I made out of Gym mat flooring and marked them with a hot knife adn the mask was made out of 2 part foam and a dremel tool for detailing. I estimate it cost approximately $150 to make. I am normally 5' 5" and was almost 7' tall with homemade stilts!
