This homemade costume for families entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Tim, the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' costume creator:
I am wearing the costume- Chosen by my 3 year old daughter- She wanted to be rocket from guardians of the galaxy and said groot is rockets best friend.
I used a combination of EVA foam/ carving with a dremel tool and pipe insulation - all coated with flex bond and angelus leather paints. It has mechanical arm extensions and a internal cooling fan.
302 Labor Hours
80 ft of Pipe insulation
43 ft of window sealer
5 packs of EVA floor matts
leftover L200 from bumble build (used about 75% of it)
nearly a Gallon of flex bond
42oz of Barge cement
12 total ounces of Angelus Leather paints
2 cans of Sealer
3 bags of Moss
