A word from Sam, the 'Bach from the Dead' costume creator:
My Halloween costume this year is entitle "Bach" from the Dead. I am a music major and my inspiration came from a bust of Bach that is displayed in our music department. I was going to a choir costume party so I thought it would be fun to do a music themed costume. I painted my face using Mehron Paradise Paint in white and did shading with NYX eye shadow in stripped. I also used a NYX jumbo pencil in Black Bean for some outlines and waterline. I used the Paradise Paint to paint my hair at well. The hair pieces on the side of my face are toilet paper rolls with a strip of paper curled and hot glued inside to give the effect of a powdered wig. I took a jacket I found at Goodwill for $1 and cut half of the bottom and sleeves off. I then painted the jacket with white acrylic paint and spray painted it with white spray paint. I took an old white button up shirt I had and cut it to match the jacket shape. I took a piece of white cloth and made the Baroque style tie. For the pedestal, I took a piece of copy paper and drew it with a sharpie. I put on a long sleeve black shirt, pants, and shoes with the jacket, shirt, and tie on top of that. I got glued the pedestal onto the black shirt under the jacket to give the bust effect. I set my face paint with Mehron barrier spray and headed to the party. The party was outside at night so the black long sleeve shirt, pants, and shoes gave the illusion that I was floating. My costume was so great that no one could "Handle" it.
