This homemade costume for girls entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Amanda, the 'Barbie in a Box' costume creator:
My daughter (Nevaeh, 7 years old) really wanted to be a Barbie so I thought to make I would make her a Barie box and have her be Barbie in a box instead of just a walking Barbie. I taped accessories in her box to make it look like the plastic over the accessories in a real barbie box. I also took picture of her in her costume, printed them out and put her pictures on the back of the box, (since real Barbies have picture of the Barbie on the box). I made a MATTEL logo and a barcode. Plus a few more little deatails. She loves her costume and I really enjoyed making it for her. :)
