A word from Alissa, the 'Doctor Who in the Tardis' costume creator:
I made this costume because I love Doctor Who and I had to try this idea that I came up with. I couldn't decide what to be from Doctor Who, so I decided to put a few things together. I chose to be the current Doctor (11th) and gathered the clothes from the Salvation Army. I made the TARDIS out of two boxes which I duck taped together and painted. I put a tap light on top for the lantern. I made sure to make the TARDIS short enough so that I can walk around easily at parties and trick-or-treating. I strapped the box to myself in a back-pack style using wire (which are practically invisible) so in order to hold it up and have both my hands free. It was very cheap and lot of fun to make and not very hard, plus I looked online and no one has made the Doctor IN the TARDIS before.
