Edward Scissorhands Costume

We recently watched the movie, Edward Scissorhands with my 7 year son and he said right away that's what he wanted to be for Halloween. I went online to buy a costume but there was none available. So I decided to make my own. I went to Goodwill got a used Darth Vader costume bought some belts that had studs on them. I also got some plastic silverware knives from the dollar store. I cut the belts in the pattern that I liked and handstitched them to the Darth Vader costume I used black mittens and electrical tape to add the plastic knives to the mittens. Total cost of the costume was under $20. It was definitely worth the effort, many people stopped us to take photos with him.
