Gambit X-Men Costume

I am wearing the costume. It had always been a childhood dream to dress up as Gambit for Halloween, but since he is not a main character, it is really hard to find in store. I made my chest piece from a gladiator armor that had lion designs and other designs on it. I had to cover up the designs using paper machéte. I got the paper machete recipe from googling it. I spent about a month layering up the abs and chest muscles. I also sewed on some underwear straps on the chest piece and wore it like a backwards backpack. I found the leather jacket at a thrift shop and had it altered to give me a raised collar and lines down the chest. I also paper macheted the shin guards and colored in the pieces with spray paint. I also spray painted some boots that I had. For the mask, I cut some leggings and eye balled th le dimesions for the mask. I cut some fingers out of the gloves in order to be able to manipulate my deck of cards. I have accessories such as an appearing staff and cards to go with the costume. I spent about a year learning card manipulation techniques to go with the costume. Collar on chest plate was cut from the back plate of the gladiator suit and glued onto chest place creating one main chest piece.
